Veterinary Physiotherapy

Kathryn has been a member of ACPAT ( Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) since 1984 and regularly attends their development days. The Setters Physiotherapy Practice adheres to the Veterinary act and therefore works in close consultation with the animals's veterinary surgeon. Kathryn works with all the local veterinary surgeries

The majority of animals treated by Kathryn are equine and canine although physiotherapy treatment is offered to other animals as necessary. Recently Kathryn was asked for help treating a Ruby Red Calf that was born with a flexor contracture and unable to stand. Physiotherapy including massage and splinting enabled a successful outcome

Kathryn herself is a BHSAI with experience in racing, eventing, endurance, dressage and riding club competitions. Her physiotherapy skills have helped many equine and canine athletes at notable events like FEI Blenheim Palace Horse trials, Bramham Horse trials, Burghley Horse trials and Badminton Horse trials. As well as numerous field trial and agility events as well as Crufts

Kathryn is happy working with any level of horse and rider to help them achieve their goals

Kathryn has been a lecturer for Oxford Brookes University on their Equine Science Course.
